Does Your Business Need to be on the 1st page of Google?
This is a question where the answer seems very obvious, yes of course it does. Business owners spend thousands of dollars per year on advertising and research has shown that being found on Google’s first page can be one of the most cost effective forms of advertising. Let’s think about a guy named “Joe” who has a flat tire on their car. Joe walks out to his driveway on the way to work, notices he has a flat tire. What to do? He quickly reaches into his pocket, retrieves his cell phone, goes to google and says, “Tire repair near me.” Instantly the first page of google pulls up on this phone with a listing of about 15 places to choose from. Does he go the next page and do research on all of these companies? No, he has a flat tire and he starts calling the ones on the first page to see who can fix his flat now. The moral of the story, if your tire repair shop is not near Joe and not on the first page, there is very little chance he is going to call you.
